{"id":3172,"date":"2020-03-05T12:23:09","date_gmt":"2020-03-05T12:23:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/?p=3172"},"modified":"2020-10-21T10:20:30","modified_gmt":"2020-10-21T10:20:30","slug":"2020-hoka-athlete-weekend","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/2020-hoka-athlete-weekend\/","title":{"rendered":"Time to get together at our elite athlete weekend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Sunday_beach_photos-35_blog.jpg\" alt=\"HOKA athlete Thibat Garrivier runs across the beach\" \/><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>It was a case of sun, sea and all things HOKA ONE ONE last weekend as more than 50 of our elite athletes came together at our annual training camp in Mallorca.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Sunday_beach_photos-23_blog.jpg\" alt=\"HOKA athletes run across the beach\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our annual HOKA elite athlete weekend is the one opportunity in the year when our athletes from across road, trail and triathlon can come together to learn more about the brand and each other.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Team_GB_swim-33_blog.jpg\" alt=\"HOKA athlete Sam Proctor dives into the pool\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hotelsviva.com\/en\/viva-blue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hotel Viva Blue<\/a>\u00a0on the north-east coast of the Balearic Island was the choice of venue for the third year in a row as the HOKA family took advantage of familiar trails, good weather and fantastic opportunities to train.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/hona_camp_saturday_training_run-11_blog.jpg\" alt=\"HOKA athletes out on a group run\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The weekend kicked off with a group run by the lake, with trail specialist Marie Perrier leading the way alongside HOKA legend Ludo Pommeret and German marathoner Frank Schauer.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/hoka_track_session-41_blog.jpg\" alt=\"HOKA athlete Lucie Lerebourg sprints round the bend\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Our athletes learned more about <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hokaoneone.eu\/en\/gb\/time-to.html\">Time To<\/a> and the inspiring stories behind the people featured, including Sam Holness and Sophie Power. As well as learning about the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hokaoneone.eu\/en\/technology.html\">patented elements<\/a>\u00a0that go into every shoe we build,\u00a0the entire team was introduced to the latest HOKA products and exciting innovations.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/final-camp-image-1.jpg\" alt=\"HOKA athletes enjoy a drink\" \/><\/p>\n<p>New athletes, including triathletes <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/anne_runs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anne Reischmann<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/tom_davis1995\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Thomas Davis<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/elliot_smales\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elliot Smales<\/a>, were exposed to\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.hokaoneone.eu\/en\/meet-hoka.html\">story behind HOKA ONE ONE<\/a>. They heard how radical\u00a0change often comes about in trying to solve a simple problem \u2013\u00a0and how redesigning a shoe that helps an athlete tackle 100 miles in challenging conditions can actually help all runners perform.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/hoka_track_session-69_blog.jpg\" alt=\"HOKA athletes Manon Genet and Arnaud Guilloux at the athletics track\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Breaking out of the classroom \u2013 and on to the track. Some of our athletes, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/manongenet\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Manon Genet<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/arnaudguilloux\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Arnaud Guilloux<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/lucie_lerebourg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lucie Lerebourg<\/a>, headed down to the local track on Saturday afternoon to put in the kilometres before settling down to watch the US Olympic Marathon Trials and HOKA NAZ Elite athlete <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outsideonline.com\/2409987\/2020-olympic-trials-marathon-results\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aliphine Tuliamuk&#8217;s success<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"post-image\" src=\"https:\/\/blogemea.hokaoneone.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/team_marie_perrier-10_blog.jpg\" alt=\"null\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Teamwork makes the HOKA dream work.
